We are committed to high quality and relevant teaching and research across a broad range of disciplines. We include the use of IT-based methods and offer excellent opportunities for academic training and career development.
Strong links with industry and commerce are traditional and are particularly fostered by our sandwich degree programmes, postgraduate taught programmes and research collaboration.
Within the Faculty there are some 40 research groups supported by Research Councils, industry and commerce and charitable organisations. Most undergraduate programmes are accredited by professional societies and institutions and the vast majority of our science graduates find immediate employment or go on to postgraduate training. Admission to undergraduate programmes in the Faculty is determined by the University's General Entrance Requirements. A one-year Science and Engineering Foundation Studies Programme ia available for students with A-levels which may be inappropriate for direct entry onto the undergraduate programmes.
Please refer to the undergraduate prospectus for more details on applying for undergraduate degree programmes.
