Staff Age Group

Staff Age Group

Chairman's Introduction

Welcome to the website for the Staff Age Group, which might be more properly described as the "Loughborough University Staff Group for Promoting Fair Practice for issues relating to Age".

Our remit is to act as a management "think tank". More widely, we expect to be an agency for promoting a general awareness of fair attitudes and practice for conduct relating to all age groups. For instance, opportunities for training and promotion should be available to all staff, as this brings considerable advantages to both the individual and the institution. If you are concerned that this may not be case – either in relation to yourself or to a colleague – the Staff Age Group is an important point of contact.

Our main concern is to facilitate conditions that ensure fair, unbiased treatment. That way, staff concerns are validated and the University's reputation as a fair-minded employer is upheld and enhanced. So, if you have a problem, please let us know.

If you would like to attend any of our informal meetings, you can find the time, date and venue of the next meeting on this website. Alternatively, you can make contact with the chairperson and arrange a mutually convenient time for a confidential chat.

Helping you can be helping us all.
