e-Learning
We know how busy you all are, therefore we have provided some hour long equality and diversity e-learning courses that you could dip in and out of at your desk, whenever you can find some space in your day, rather than having to attend a day long course.
These courses support the University’s Strategic Plan – Towards 2016, the Single Equality Scheme and are in compliance with the general equality duty of the Equality Act 2010 which came into effect on 5th April 2011.
They also support your employment contract and expected behaviours.
The responsibility of ensuring that we have a diverse and inclusive campus and working environment, free from discrimination, does not lie with the University alone, we all have a personal legal responsibility as well.
On completion of these courses you will be issued with a certificate and your Staff Development training record will reflect this.
If this is not your preferred learning style, please do get in contact with Staff Development if you would prefer an interactive face to face course such as the Respecting Diversity half day training course, or you would like a bespoke course for your team, service or department at: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/service/sd/index.html
The e-learning courses that are available to you are:-
Diversity in the Workplace: This is available to any staff member who feels they require a refresher and we would encourage you to complete this course if you have not attended a Respecting Diversity or Equality & Diversity course in the last two years.
Bullying & Harassment: Available to all and a requirement for those members of staff on their probation, you should try and complete it during that time frame, if not in the first 12 months.
Bullying & Harassment for Managers: Available to all new and existing managers.
Please click on http://pdwww.lboro.ac.uk/upcoming.asp?tid=29 to access these courses.
